A Famosa is the surviving gate of a Portuguese fortress the Dutch later took and rebuilt. The Stadthuys is a Dutch administrative building from the 1650s, not the church people assume it to be, and Christ Church next to it came a century later. Harmony Street runs a Chinese temple, a Hindu temple and a mosque within a few hundred metres of each other, which is a real thing about this city rather than a slogan. You can walk all of it for nothing. That is worth knowing before you book anything.
